WARM WELCOME FROM PASTOR DOUG MORELAND

You may ask what a cowboy church is.  I can't answer for all, but I can
tell you about ours.  First, let me give you a little background on myself.
I have loved the Lord for a long time, attending church and serving in
different ways.  However, the traditional way we had church just seemed
a little too stiff.  It just was not comfortable as I thought it should be.
When the opportunity to help get a Cowboy Church started I decided to
help where I could.  Being involved in the western culture myself, as are
most of my friends, this atmosphere suited me.  The idea that a person
could come to Church and hear an uncomplicated message that can be
applied to our life seemed perfect to me.  I liked the idea that a person
should be able to walk in wearing jeans.  You don't have to feel you must
dress up to worship our Lord.

feel comfortable to come as you are.  I believe a simple Bible based
message is the key to building a relationship with our Lord.  I know my
brain cannot retain more than my rear can endure, so the messages are
kept as short as possible, but as full as necessary.

The activities here will mostly be related to the western culture, with
events like Team Roping, Trail riding, Chuckwagon cooking etc.;
however, we never lose sight of our main calling, to lead the lost to a
saving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

I would like to invite you to worship with us at the Wise County Cowboy
Church.

God Bless You!

Church Work Days as posted in Upcoming Events

We'll keep you posted as dates get nailed down and we add more activities to the
yearly schedule.

Stay tuned

Please pray for our teams and
leaders going into a new year.

FYI
We are looking at doing some work on the Church. The water system has to be
upgraded and we are planning to build on to the north wall. Although we don’t
pass the plate, your offerings are very important for these improvements.
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.
Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home
and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Upcoming Events
Please Pray that our Church
activities will introduce the lost to
the Lord and they will be saved.
Remember, It is difficult to
stay angry at someone that
you pray for every day.
Seven days without
prayer makes one weak.
Never give the devil a
ride; he always wants
the reins.
He who angers you,
also controls you.
If you have decided to ask
Christ into your life; to
accept the gift of His
salvation. If you believe He
is the Son of God and died
for your sins, you can be
saved, forgiven and born
again. If you have made
this decision, please fill out
a green sheet on the
information table on your right
as you enter the church.
